Turkish Aerospace Industries Inc.(TAI) has become Turkey’s center of technology in design, development, modernization, manufacturing, integration and life cycle support of integrated aerospace systems, from fixed and rotary wing air platforms to UAVs and satellites. After the purchase in 2012 of a 5-axis machining center model MDL 14040 milling & waterjet, TAI decided to implement its machine tools fleet with a new Belotti machining center with a value of € 3.500.000,00. Like the previous one, the new series MDL 12036 S has two independent gantries with dual technology milling & waterjet: the first bridge is equipped with a 20 kW electrospindle with a 24 positions tool change, while the latter has an abrasive waterjet cutting head. Another strong point of this machining center is the workpiece locking system UVF. The delivery is scheduled on April 2016.
