Belotti‘s history is the story of an industrial engineering company developed thanks to a balanced mix of competence and technological innovation in synergy with a courageous and indomitable entrepreneurial vision.
The industrial network within Bergamo district acts as a driving force for the activities that Luciano Belotti carries out in the first laboratory set up in 1979.
From that moment on, industrial development and technological goals run together with commercial growth to go straight to the present day and determine Belotti‘s affirmation on the market as a leading player in the design and construction of CNC machining solutions.

1976 Luciano Belotti: a great enthusiast of precision engineering.
Eng. Belotti designs and produces the first contouring machine for thermoformed materials in his father’s garage, a project commissioned during a condominium meeting.

1979 The birth of "Luciano Belotti" company.
Eng. Belotti founds his company in Medolago (BG) and starts the production of the first SC-13 contouring machine for plastic components trimming.

1982 The research of new solutions.
The company starts the manufacturing of the first 2-axis (X-Y) machining center equipped with a BOSCH NC for panels milling.

1986 "RO5": the first 5-axis cnc center.
Eng. Belotti designs and manufactures the first prototype with ball screw driven axis movement for the machining of thermoformed plastic components.

1989 A strategic project.
The company establishes itself in the machine tool sector thanks to the first turnkey project for the automotive industry: no. 8 “RO5” machining centers for SMC bumpers processing.

1990 "Meccanica Belotti srl" and the HQ in Suisio (BG).
The company changes its name and moves to the new 4,000 sq.m. plant with larger and more functional spaces to support the business growth.

1994 The composite materials and the automotive industry
A new “RO5” model is designed and optimised for milling and trimming operations on SMC and carbon fiber components for the automotive industry.

1995 "Belotti srl".
The company adopts a new name on the heels of a progressive affirmation in the machine tool sector along with a larger market penetration worldwide.

1999 "RO5": the end of an era.
On the new millennium eve, the last “RO5” machining center is sold to give way to a new cutting-edge machining solution.

2000 "Belotti SpA" and the launch of the “FLA Series”.
The company changes its legal form and markets a new Series focused on 5-axis machining of composite materials, still an international best-seller today.

2001 Launched into orbit with ARIANE 5.
Belotti is awarded the production of a special system for the machining of the Kevlar made engine segments’ thermal protection of the ESA-designed rocket.

2002 New route and solutions for the marine industry.
Belotti’s experience and technological know-how converge in the production of the first, large cnc portals for the machining of fiberglass hulls and decks.

2003 Carbon fiber centrality.
The first, key automotive orders lead to the development of “TRIFOGLIO,” a combined “Waterjet & Milling” technology for carbon fiber parts milling and trimming.

2004 VEGA and the consolidation in the aerospace industry.
Belotti gets the order to design and manufacture a 20-meter-long special system for the processing of the European VEGA rocket’s tanks.

2007 The “FLU Series”.
The company introduces the first solution with High Performance head and torque motors to guarantee high accuracy and power in the milling of resins, aluminum and carbon fiber structural parts.

2008 "Cnc machining centers".
The payoff is integrated into Belotti logo to complete the corporate identity and further define the brand in relation to the company’s main business unit.

2012 The "NOVA Series".
R&D department designs the first 3-axis cnc center for milling and profiling aluminum, technical plastic and composite material components from large plates.

2013 A new brand identity.
The Belotti logo restyling process is coupled with a new visual identity, reinforced by the claim “Passion for great performances has always driven us.”

2014 "Belotti China".
The company opens the first commercial branch in China, aimed at managing this fast paced expanding market.

2018 Entering industrial automation with "Belotti Integrale".
The company designs and produces the first cell that integrates robotics and CNC, able to fit into a highly automated automotive production line for processing composite materials and light alloys.

2019 We are 40 years young!
Belotti celebrates 40 years in business with the expansion of the HQ in Suisio and the production of the video documentary “Lords of Carbon. The history of composite materials in racing and supercars sectors”. The new branch “Belotti Deutschland” is founded.

2020 Sales network enhancement.
The company leads its growth path by opening the new technical-commercial office “Belotti Centro Sud” and the U.S. branch “Belotti America“.

2021 Industry 4.0 and digitalization.
Within a digital transition landscape, the Software department releases “MyB”, the IoT Suite for integrated and optimized management of the cnc centers within the factory environment.

2022 Two new business units.
The “Robotic Automation” division is further strenghtened, while the “Additive Manufacturing” division is founded with the production of the first BEAD hybrid machining center (3D printing + cnc milling).

2023 Belotti's main supplier "Officine della Gavarnia srl" enters the corporate group.
The acquisition is part of the industrial development plan aimed at improving the overall efficiency, by exercising a better control over the production and procurement phases.

2024 Belotti Modena and the Innovation HUB.
A state-of-the-art technology hub for advanced materials processing is opened in the heart of the Motor Valley area.
A new brand identity is unveiled.
